Car Loan: RCI Bank Features Vehicle Financing Services for Mitsubishi

Renault’s financial arm signed an agreement with the Japanese car maker Mitsubishi Motors to propose financing offers for new and used vehicle purchases in the Netherlands. This is their first synergy in this industry since the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi partnership was announced.

This partnership led them to craft the financing offer Mitsubishi Motors Financial Services. These financing options will be marketed under this brand; associated services, for their part, will be proposed by RCI Financial Services.

Dutch Mitsubishi Motors’ individual and business customers can now subscribe auto loans and long-term leasing offers, as well as a range of additional options, including maintenance contracts or insurance services.

The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance managed to out run Volkswagen and Toyota, with more than 10.6 million car sales in 2017. Mitsubishi is no stranger to this promising result. Mitsubishi Motors Financial Services intends to reach a 20% penetration rate for all vehicles sold in the Netherlands by 2020, prior to aiming for Europe more globally.

Comments – Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi making their ambitions clear

Renault’s financial arm witnessed record sales last year, and launched a great number of projects and targeted acquisitions. They are adding a new car manufacturer to their customer portfolio, while other agreements on new markets are also scheduled in the coming months.

This is not the first time this group actually assists Mitsubishi Motors in their commercial development process. In fact, a car financing service had been implemented with Nissan in Canada, Thailand, New Zealand and Australia.

Financing offers still are pivotal for RCI Bank & Services, however, the group is also very active when it comes to dealing with new mobility-oriented issues in general. They bought out Paris-based car-sharing platform, Marcel, as well as its sister company; and they took an equity stake in the start-up Karhoo (car-sharing aggregator). The group now counts on the synergies that emerged from their Mitsubishi Alliance to craft new offers. The Alliance also confirmed a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with Didi on proposing an electric vehicle car-sharing program in China.
